The workshop will be bringing together civil society organisations from Sasolburg, Boipatong, Richards Bay, South Durban, and Table View.

The combined submission will accompany the individual submissions from each organisation and will be handed to the Portfolio Committee on environment at the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Bill hearings being held on 3, 4, and 10 February 2004. These submissions will be available on Monday evening from groundWork.

On Monday 2 February 2004, a protest will be held in front of Caltex in Table View from 4-5pm. Communities will be showing their support for the Table View Residents Association's struggle against air pollution in the area.
