groundWork would like to congratulate the Goldman Environmental Prize 2025 winners. Batmunkh Luvsandash from Mongolia, Carlos Mallo Molina from the Canary Islands, Laurene Allen from the United State, Mari Luz Canaquiri Murayari from Peru, Olsi Nika & Besjana Guri from Albania. A special congratulations to the Africa region winner Semia Gharbi from Tunisia. Semia successfully led a campaign that confronted waste trafficking and waste colonization between Italy and her country Tunisia.
groundWork is inspired by the work of these remarkable individuals in their respective regions and countries. We celebrate them for being drivers of change in a world that needs it. The work they have done is an inspiring illustration of what happens when ordinary people decide to take an active role in changing the world around them.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Golman Environmental Foundation for their continued support in recognizing and acknowledging the efforts and contributions of grassroots people in their fight for environmental justice.
