The annual groundWork Report has been the organisation’s flagship research publication since 2002. It documents the state of environmental injustice in relation to climate change, governance, the Constitution, waste, toxic spaces, the destruction of places and the failure of development. Framed by the perspectives, evidence, and lived experiences of partner fenceline communities, the report is widely sought after, cited and relied upon by researchers, academics and allies in the environmental justice movement locally and internationally. The last six editions have made a compelling case for a (truly) just transition.
